Nalin Perera BSc(BE), MSc(Arch), Registered Architect WA & QLD
Nalin Perera is the founder of Designplex 21 Architects. He studied architecture in the UK and in Sri Lanka, and has over 25 years’ experience in the profession. His overseas portfolio ranges from resort hotels, corporate buildings, retail outlets, educational and cultural facilities to an array of residential projects in many exotic locations. Moving to Australia in 2002, he gained experience in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Brisbane. He has been actively involved in the design of a multi- million dollar cultural and heritage centre in Melbourne and a range of projects in the residential, commercial and healthcare sectors.
Nalin is registered as an Architect with the Architects Board of Western Australia and the Board of Architects of Queensland. A university teacher with long experience, Nalin has taught architectural design in several prestigious Australian universities including Melbourne, UWA, Curtin and QUT.
Team member Vijay Narang graduated from the University of Queensland and founded VMN Design Architects in Brisbane. With over 12 years’ experience in the field, Vijay has established himself as a versatile designer and manager in a range of projects including residential, commercial, retail, and healthcare. Vijay’s experience has developed through his involvement in projects of varying sizes and complexity during his engagement with other major architectural firms, and on jobs referred to himself. He has a strong understanding of both planning and architectural issues, bringing an innovative approach to technical solutions to achieve the most from any project. Vijay is registered as an Architect with the Board of Architects of Queensland and is a member of the Australian Institute of Architects.
