On behalf of Ned and myself and our HOPEWA leadership team we would like to tell you how grateful we are to you for all the time, careful thought and attention to detail you put into your presentation and concept for our building. It has been very helpful for us in the process to further reflect on what we are sensing we need to build.

When I was refurbishing my medical consulting suite in Nedlands I consulted Nalin. His advice on where to place my consulting table and chair made a big difference in overall functionality in my practice as opposed to the original design given by the refurbishing company. Subsequently he designed and supervised an extension to our house in Mosman Park. My wife and I are extremely happy how his design utilized the space available for maximum functionality and aesthetic beauty. We highly recommend his services.

Nalin Perera (director Designplex 21 Architects) was initially referred to us by friends who had significant extensions done to their house through him and were highly satisfied with the outcome.
Our primary brief to Nalin was to convert our single detached home to 2 units, functioning independently. A complete renovation including open plan lounge and dining, bathrooms, bedrooms, courtyards and facelift to the facades were proposed as the brief developed. I found Nalin easy to talk to and add our ideas into a design that not only suited all regulations but also met our expectations and budget.
Nalin’s commitment to the job was considerable, with regular one-to-one meetings held at site to navigate us through the design process. The final design produced a spacious, contemporary conversion which also employed sustainable and energy efficient principles.
The work is currently in progress. We would not hesitate to recommend Nalin to anyone wishing to hire his services as an architect.

We engaged Nalin to assist us in bringing our second round of renovations to life. He really understood our vision of blending the original architecture of our 1930’s home with modern features in areas such as the kitchen and bathroom. Nalin was very patient with our many questions and iterations and he really went the extra mile, spending time with our local council to understand their requirements and specifications. We would have no hesitation in using Nalin again for future projects.

This is to confirm that my Company contracted with Nalin Perera, Architect, to design an addition to an older style home in March 2014.
Nalin visited the site and provided conceptual drawings as well as final drawings to allow me to present to council for a building license.
Nalin was competitive in price and timing as well as helpful in providing design advice to ensure the additions blended in with the current building.
I was very happy with Nalin’s services and would recommend him to any prospective clients.

This is to confirm we have used the services of Nalin Perera to prepare architectural drawings and supporting compliance documentation for extensions we are undertaking at our home in Willetton.
We have been very satisfied with Nalin’s work and are happy to recommend him to anyone to whom he feels he can provide value.
We had been anticipating a second storey extension, but Nalin, upon inspecting our site, recommended we extend out rather than up. This has saved us a considerable amount of money and inconvenience.
Nalin took a great deal of time and care to understand our needs and provided a design which met our requirements completely.
Additionally, we are owner building our project and Nalin has been very helpful in assisting with council planning queries and in resolving the inevitable challenges that occur in transferring a drawing to a physical product.
We would be happy to talk to anyone considering using Nalin’s services.
Fr. Thai Vu, Parish Priest
Willetton Catholic Parish, Willetton WA
Mr Perera of Designplex 21 Architects was initially appointed by us to design a concept for a presbytery (accommodation facility for resident priests), within the existing property of the church. His research of presbyteries in metropolitan Perth and his own architectural skills were valuable in arriving at a design that met the approval of the parish Finance Committee.
However, the presbytery idea was shelved in favour of a drop-off facility which the parish considered a priority. This subsequent design project involved the drop-off facility, a toilet block, landscaping and parking elements and he managed this job satisfactorily through concept and development approval stages.
I would not hesitate to recommend his services to any prospective clients.

For our foyer renovation project, the stand-out applicant was Designplex 21 Architects (Nalin Perera – Principal). We were impressed with the quality of his design and helpful suggestions for improving on our original concepts for the work.
Once the plans were fine-tuned, Mr Perera contacted a number of builders and obtained quotes for the work to be done. All the builders spoke favourably of his design. Prior to the selected builder being appointed Mr Perera had been to see some of their current jobs. He prepared the building contract which was signed and building commenced. He continued to visit the site on a regular basis during construction.
The project is now completed to our satisfaction and we would not hesitate to recommend Designplex 21 Architects to any job similar to ours.

The work entrusted to Mr Perera included a new layout for the banking hall, the Chief Country Officer’s (CCO) wing, including his office, his secretary’s office and a conference room. Mr Perera also undertook a separate project to make colour changes to the other floors.
Mr Perera’s excellent architectural skills and knowledge were key to our projects being successfully completed. The new wing of our CCO’s office is particularly worthy of mention and the fitout of this area was very tastefully designed, to project the right image of the bank.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish Mr Perera every success in his future endeavours.
